CATHEDRAL OF ST VITUS PRAGUE


Located in the Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral is an imposing building in the French Gothic style. It is the largest cathedral in Prague and the importance of incorporating several chapels, frescoes and graves. The rich and beautiful chapel contains the tomb is decorated St. Wenceslas. It is a symbol of the Czech Republic.



                          The first church dedicated to St. Vitus whole, which stood on the site of the present cathedral was a Romanesque rotunda, built by Wenceslaus I, Duke of Bohemia in 925.





       This patron saint was chosen because Wenceslaus he got from King Henry I, part of the relics of the saint - his arm.



Besides religious ceremonies, and ceremonies officiated here coronation of kings and queens. In the room there are Coronation Crown Jewels and find their rest in the cathedral crypt most kings and queens of Bohemia.
