Easter Traditions


Usually egg decoration is an ancient Romanian tradition. Painted eggs are a testament to the customs, beliefs and customs of Easter, representing a spiritual element Romanian culture.


Because egg deep red is the carrier of meanings related to the resurrection of Christ and the renewal of nature, Christians have labored to it painted, drawing wax ancestral motifs, of rare beauty.



Egg
as a symbol primordial seed of life, according to tradition, is painted and decorated on Thursday and Saturday of Holy Week, redness occupation of eggs being reserved almost exclusively women.



Painted
egg gives us joy, wonder, humility, reconciliation, because of ornamentation, in fact, operate with symbols (sun, moon, cross, etc..), Patterns of nature (plants, animals, household items) and popular fabric patterns, with all their repertoire sacred signs.
