Durău resort is situated in Neamt County, at an altitude of 780-800 meters, in a sunny meadow at the foot of the famous massively Ceahlău, 6 km south-west of the village Ceahlău, 9 km west of the lake on the Mountain Bicaz River, 60 km north-west of the city of Piatra Neamt.
It is a tourist resort frequented by many tourists because of clean air, atmospheric ozone.
It is recommended to rest and treatment of asthenic neurosis, a state of anemia, as well as recovery from physical and intellectual efforts.
In a small church was Durău painted by the famous Romanian painter Nicolae Tonitza.
